Our Story
We are a family owned and operated business based in Manitoba Canada - right on the Canada/US border. Years ago we were professionally trained in the decorative concrete industry by some of the leaders in the industry. We developed a company called Fusion Countertops Inc. were we manufactured solid concrete products using the latest GFRC techniques and methods. Our products included; countertops, vanities, fireplaces, etc. We absolutely loved the customizability and beauty of well crafted concrete products BUT sadly we also recognised the many disadvantages that we simply couldn’t overlook… such as the excessive weight, cracking issues, lots of seams, curling, shipping & installation issues, and so on…
SO… either we simply accept the negatives of concrete and deal with it OR do something about it. The quest to capture all the beautiful characteristics of concrete while minimising all the negatives was on.
In 2012 we focused our energy to create the best high performance lightweight concrete countertop in the marketplace. Striving to keep all the beauty and customizability options while doing away with all the negative characteristics. That is where KÜRstone was born. in 2015 we registered a comprehensive North American patent.
For a few years our company offered both; our solid, GFRC based products and KÜRstone. Our clients preferred KÜRstone over the solid concrete by a huge margin. So much so… that we ended up selling our solid concrete division and just focused on KÜRstone.
Throughout the years of development we have found that KÜRstone’s manufacturing techniques and methods unlock unlimited product possibilities that are simply impossible using other products, including solid concrete.
So now, after years of development and hundreds of very successful products in the marketplace, we are very excited to bring KÜRstone to the marketplace in a big way by launching KÜRstone’s licensing campaign. We’re very excited to see the potential of a network of trained KÜRstone artisans craft some of the most amazing products for their clients right across North America.
